About the role
A general contractor needs a project engineer for a mid-rise commercial build already underway in Austin.
You would work alongside the project manager and superintendent, keeping documents current and the trades coordinated so the field can keep moving.
What you’ll do
- Manage RFIs, submittals, and the drawing log
- Update the schedule and flag risks to the project manager early
- Coordinate with subcontractors on site and in weekly meetings
- Support quality, safety, and closeout documentation
What helps
- A degree in construction management or engineering, or equivalent field experience
- Familiarity with Procore or similar project software
- Organized, curious, and comfortable on an active job site
- Based in or willing to relocate to Austin
